MARCIANO ESTATE

Derived from nature, driven by site, and crafted by hand with the passion and perfectionism it takes to create something of lasting beauty.

Marciano Estate revitalizes a proud winegrowing history that dates back to the mid- 19th century. The property upon which the vineyards are planted was originally part of the Bourn family estate, a country residence for one of San Francisco’s most successful and influential families during the time of California’s Gold Rush.

In 2006, vineyard manager David Abreu was consulted by Maurice Marciano to evaluate the land and existing vineyards. After careful consideration, the vineyard was completely replanted in precise and intentional blocks. The clones and four different rootstocks were selected to match the variety of soil types (loam and alluvial soils, deposits of iron, gravel, and clay) and exposures, resulting in a truly distinctive vineyard. Marciano Estate’s experienced team of winemakers share the vision of creating wines to the highest expression of this storied site. The team includes consulting winemaker Andy Erickson and now Michel Rolland with Benoit Touquette. Morgan Maurèze, Marciano Estate Winemaker & Director, who is a Bordeaux native has worked with Domaine de la Romanèe Conti, Chateau Haut Brion, Dominus alongside Andy Erickson with consulting clients, such as Screaming Eagle, Dalla Valle and Ovid. A team passionate about people, the art and the winemaking philosophy dedicated to only present the most exceptional experience and wines to our friends and collectors.
