I wanted to give you some great news. As you will hear, we are delighted that we are going to distribute more dollars and fulfill more grant requests this year,then ever before. I wanted to thank you both for the wonderful support you have provided year after year. Your Cult Wine Dinner, Legends Invitational, and French Laundry experience provided approximately $200,000 in much needed funds at this years event. In fact, over the past ten years, you and Mary’s contributions have generated over TWO MILLION DOLLARS. The whole Ocean Reef community, All Charities, and the Ocean Reef Foundation are very fortunate to have you two in their corner. As you heard me say before…the only thing bigger than the exquisite wines you serve…is your hearts.

About All Charities

Ocean Reef All Charities is a giving program raising money to ensure the viability of the not-for-profit institutions that are such an important part of life and culture at Ocean Reef Club, and also to provide much needed funds to dozens of worthy charities serving our surrounding communities, Homestead, Florida City and the Keys.

• Our Medical Center meets vital needs enabling so many to thrive at Ocean Reef;

• The Cultural Center facilitates gracious gatherings for the whole community, whether to see a world-class performance or the latest film;

• The Art League provides a full schedule of activities for everyone from the beginner to the artiste;

• The Academy fulfills the needs of parents who want to say at Ocean Reef during the winter and provides associates’ children with scholarships;

• ORCAT ensures a healthy, balanced population of our furry four-legged friends;

• The Ocean Reef Conservation Association attend to the wellbeing of the beautiful ecosystem that surrounds us;

• and In the Upper Keys, Florida City and Homestead, the lives of thousands are improved because of the meaningful grants distributed by the Ocean Reef Community Foundation.

Total Amount Raised ForLocal Charities 2008 – 2020: $44,675,798

By 2007 there were almost 30 annual fundraisers at Ocean Reef and a consensus that there were too many. The Foundation responded with a unique solution for a unique community, the All Charities effort which consolidates fundraising for the whole community through the ORC Dues Donation and Annual All Charities Auction Weekend held each February. To date this effort has raised more than $44.5 million and become an important tradition that continues to distinguish our community, break fundraising and participation records, sustain Ocean Reef charities enabling them to focus on their missions, and benefit dozens of worthy causes in neighboring communities each year through the Foundation’s Community Grants program.

Total Community Grants

This would be the portion given to the Ocean Reef Community Foundation. ORCF facilitates philanthropy for the Ocean Reef Club community, contributing over $11.3 million to non-profits in Monroe and Miami-Dade Counties. The Ocean Reef Community Foundation’s annual grants program is providing more than $1.4 million to nonprofit organizations serving neighboring areas this year thanks to the Ocean Reef community’s generous participation in the 2020 All Charities effort. The ORCF Community Grants Program funds dozens of worthy charities in the interest areas of Education, Youth, Health & Family Services and Community in the Upper Keys, Homestead and Florida City each spring. Including 2020 grants, the program has donated more than $11 million to improve the quality of life in the communities where Ocean Reef employee families live since the All Charities collaboration began in 2008.
